About Beach Haven Designs

I began my creative journey with sandblasting glass bottles.   After recently retiring and moving from Maryland to Southport, NC I’ve been able to spend some time taking classes and learning other forms of art.  I love working with glass and resin and hope that you will enjoy what I create.

My husband Joe is always involved in my “projects”.  He is the mechanic and helps me figure out how I can make the things that I want.  He drills the holes in the glass so I can put the lights in them, and he builds the cradle boards for the glass and resin art.  Plus, in the past he has helped me haul my art to craft fairs (far and wide) and help me set-up and disassemble displays.  I am fortunate that he supports my efforts, keeps me focused and tolerates all the equipment, tools and “stuff” in the house and garage.

Joe and I have three grown children that we are incredibly proud of as well as seven beautiful grandkids.  Unfortunately, they do not live in North Carolina.  Our family is very important to us.  We will strive to keep regular hours at the shop.  However, we do make our family a priority and at times we will close the shop to visit our family.   Our shop hours will be published on this website and on Facebook well in advance of us closing the shop unless there is an emergency.
